Active Adventures

3 Years Old
  • Class Overview

  • Active Adventurers

Your three year old is more mature and better able to regulate their emotions. They are more social and capable of including others in their play. Their fine motor skills are strengthening and so is their ability to manipulate smaller items. Their attention span is growing and they can stay focused on an activity for longer periods of time. Our Active Adventurer class engages our students with new challenges, more structure and a longer class time. Our typical day begins with a circle time period which helps the children take turns communicating in a group, exploring new concepts and learning through rhymes and games. We introduce the children to a series of learning centers that help them focus on strengthening their preschool skills. Cutting, writing as well as many hands-on learning activities are rotated during designated class time. We follow up the learning with a small nutritious snack.  Free play introduces the children to a rotation of centers and our Friendship Lottery. This lottery is an opportunity for the students to play with different classmates who are paired each class day at random. We keep the play centers engaging and exciting by changing out the materials each month.  Clean up is followed by lunch, library, story time and quiet time. Each weekday afternoon we explore different activities like yoga, painting, crafts and music & movement.  We enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting) each day.  Our days are filled with learning, laughter and fun!

    • I sent my daughter to a regular daycare and I am so thankful that I found TLC for my son. The learning that takes place is absolutely amazing. He has also developed some extremely important competencies like independence and responsibility. TLC is undisputedly the best choice for any child wanting to succeed in elementary school.
